More times than not, this app gives an error message and doesnt load the content.

They took a great news app and made it horrendous. I understand that theyre a business and need to make money but this is unfortunate. Ill just delete this app and find another free news app. You were good while you lasted.

I hate how this is another one of those scams to make money. You can only read 1/16th of a news reportage now. Hate the new update. Deleting the app.

Now only first sentence is readable without login, prompts you to create an account and only tells you its a paid account at the end. How not to do your monatization transition.

This news application is ridiculously expensive ($16 per subscription) for articles that are written by teenagers who cant build sentences correctly. I dont recommend it.

Subscription payment? Seriously? The Daily Star is suffering delusions of grandeur concerning the quality of its journalism and the breadth and depth of its coverage. The only paid subscriptions left in media are for highly specialized and respected outlets, i.e. WSJ, The Economist, etc. Time to innovate and switch to a modern business model that will gain readers instead of losing them.

Whats up Dailystar? $15/month? Great way to push a life-long customer to another news source!

Would have recommended moving to 10 free articles/month and then a paywall, similar to the NYT. Went from a daily reader to only reading the pushed headlines. Not convinced its worth $15/month.

Although most of the news is a copy from other news agency I found myself reading your news on a daily basis. However at $12 a month!!! I dont think so

Was a decent app before you had to pay to use. Excluding the exorbitantly priced paywall the app isnt even all that well designed. It is limited in features and doesnt really do much to aid in improving your reading experience. Youd think for fifteen dollars a month the developers of this app could put together something better.

Im an English speaker interested in Lebanon. Though I understand what the reviewer below meant regarding the lack of access to certain areas of the site without a subscription, it is nevertheless a very valuable tool and Ive found many ways around the restrictions. Notifications are excellent for Lebanon watchers and there is a large portion of the site dedicated to news of the day in-country. Have not yet detected a confessional, sectarian or political slant though I must say I havent tried hard to find one. I highly recommend this site as a non- subscriber.

I use to love this paper. I just cant afford the 15.00 a month. I would be will to pay 7.99. Maybe the should offer a discounted price for a 6 month and 1 year rate. I think if they lowered the price they would have more subscribers. I enjoy the articles but I live in the US and really only use it to stay informed.

15 dollars a month you have got to be kidding me. Someone needs to fired do you even have the demographics for such a price hike typical greedy Lebanese. You cant justify news at that price when your not a global name your what we call copy and paste news for at the most 1 dollar a month. You shouldve sold ad space and kept it free good luck with 100 subscribers. RIP TDS
